EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Irish Sea Zone ZAP (Zonal Appraisal & Planning Process) Executive Summary was published in April 2012. This sets out better to understand the physical, ecological, human and technical constraints within the Irish Sea Zone (ISZ) and is the result of two years work. To open this document CLICK HERE.
- Figure 6 shows the main shipping routes in the Irish Sea. Route 1 is Heysham - Douglas and Route 2 is Liverpool - Douglas. Both of these routes will be obstructed by the proposed development.
- Figure 7 (reproduced on the previous page of this website) shows how the Irish Sea Zone will be split into 3 areas NE / SE / and SW, From this the positioning of the gaps between the three areas, it can be seen that these do not provide clear passage for shipping serving IOM.
