Sea Transport to and from Isle of Man Isle of Man Steam Packet Company www.steam-packet.com The Isle of Man Steam Packet provides year-round daily services to Heysham and daily services to Liverpool except during the winter when weekend services operate to Birkenhead. There are limited services to Dublin and Belfast during the summer and the Company also operate occasional excursion sailings to other ports during the summer. Their website provides timetables, on-line booking facilities and sailing information on each the current and next day’s sailings. You can also book Sail & Rail tickets to UK through the Steam Packet as well as purchase UK concessionary Railcards, but these facilities are not available on line.
Laxey Towing Company www.iompleasurecruises.com The Karina provides a range of coastal cruises, mainly from Douglas to Laxey and Derbyhaven/Castletown during the summer season.
Waverley Excursions www.waverleyexcursions.co.uk The coastal excursion vessel Balmoral visits the IOM each year offering occasional links with Barrow, Garlieston and Whitehaven. No vehicles are carried on these services which in 2009 will operate mid June. Afternoon cruises from Douglas to the Calf of Man are usually also offered.
